Slam Wager glossary

Confidence score

A confidence score is a product-specific ranking or estimate whose meaning must be stated by the publisher; it must not be assumed to equal a calibrated win probability.

Also called: confidence, model confidence

How to interpret it

Different products can use the same word for different scales. Interpret a Slam Wager confidence field only under its displayed definition and release context.

Limits and responsible use

  • A high score does not remove model uncertainty, market risk, price sensitivity, or ordinary outcome variance.

Do not convert a confidence label into a larger stake outside a preset limit, and never treat it as certainty.
