Our Commitment

Slam Wager exists to make sports more fun for people who already bet recreationally. We are not a sportsbook — we don't take wagers and we don't profit from your losses. But we know our content can be a tool that contributes to problem behavior, and we take that seriously.

Bet Within Your Means

  • Only wager money you can afford to lose. Treat it as the cost of entertainment, not an income source.
  • Set a budget for the week or month before you start. When it's gone, you're done until next period.
  • Never chase losses. Doubling up to "win it back" is how small losses become big ones.
  • Don't bet to escape stress, sadness, or boredom.
  • Don't borrow money to bet. Don't use rent, grocery, or bill money.

Warning Signs of a Gambling Problem

  • Spending more time or money on gambling than you intended
  • Lying to family or friends about your gambling
  • Feeling restless or irritable when not gambling
  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to gamble
  • Missing work, school, or family obligations to gamble
  • Feeling depressed, anxious, or hopeless about your gambling
  • Thinking the next bet will solve money problems

If any of these sound familiar, please reach out for help. There is no shame in it.

Taking a Break

Slam Wager does not currently operate a technical self-exclusion registry. If you need to step away, use the account billing controls and contact support@slamwager.com to request subscription cancellation or account closure; support will confirm the action actually completed. Closing a Slam Wager account does not block sportsbook wagering or guarantee that a person cannot create another account. For enforceable limits or self-exclusion from wagering, use the controls offered by your licensed sportsbook or state regulator.

Help for Family & Friends

If someone you love is struggling, Gam-Anon offers support for friends and family of problem gamblers. Visit gam-anon.org.
