How to read Slam Wager product output
These definitions describe reviewed public behavior and its limits without exposing proprietary model weights, prompts, provider credentials, or security controls.
Projections
A projection is a sport- and market-specific estimate produced from the model inputs available at that time. Depending on the lane, it can describe a team score, total, player outcome, or an estimated probability used to compare a price. A projection is not automatically a wager. Identity, data quality, price, uncertainty, exposure, and release checks can block publication. When a projection supports an Official Pick, the member card keeps its frozen published score even if later analysis changes.
Limits
Input coverage, model family, calibration maturity, and uncertainty treatment differ by sport and market, and any projection can be wrong.
Confidence
Confidence is not one universal probability field. Internal specialist or model confidence describes the strength of that particular read in its own workflow. On current released member cards, the main public number is frozen SLAM Value, accompanied by its star tier. Unless a product surface explicitly labels a number as a calibrated probability and states its scope, do not read 70 as a 70% chance of winning. Higher internal confidence can still be reduced, withheld, or rejected by later controls.
Limits
Legacy receipts can retain older confidence semantics, so comparisons require the product surface, model version, and publication context.
Official Picks
An Official Pick is a released wager receipt: the exact event, side, market, line, quoted price, and positive stake passed the applicable controls and was persisted as published. A matchup page, simulation, research row, pass, lean, or internal agent opinion is not an Official Pick. When required evidence is missing, stale, inconsistent, or below a release threshold, the correct outcome is no published wager. The product should state that clearly instead of manufacturing a pick.
Limits
Release requirements vary by sport, market, and version, and an Official Pick still has ordinary outcome risk and can lose.
SLAM Value and stars
SLAM Value is the price-aware quality score frozen on a reviewed wager. On the current public ladder, 70-79 maps to 3 stars and 1u, 80-89 maps to 4 stars and 2u, and 90-99 maps to 5 stars and 3u. The value compares opportunities under the current product rules. It is not a literal win probability, and five stars does not mean a wager is certain or safe.
Limits
The score depends on the exact price and governed EV basis; a price change or a future reviewed version can change how a new opportunity is assessed without rewriting an old receipt.
Units
A unit is a personal reference amount used to express risk consistently. For a current open Official Pick, the displayed stake must match the exact SLAM Value and star tier, and a risk control that cannot approve that tier blocks the release rather than showing a smaller contradictory wager. Settled history preserves the stake and signed net result recorded for the published wager. Members choose what one unit means in dollars; the product tier is not permission to exceed a personal entertainment budget.
Limits
Unit totals are incomplete without price, stake, settlement treatment, exclusions, and reporting period, and a unit framework cannot eliminate loss or variance.
Historical results
Historical results come from settled Official Pick receipts within the archive's stated coverage. A receipt can preserve its original selection, price, stake, publication time, final settlement, model version when available, and append-only corrections. Record, units, ROI, and closing-price comparisons must be labeled with their sample, time window, exclusions, and availability. A visible subset is not called an all-time record unless completeness is separately verified.
Limits
Past results and favorable closing-price comparisons do not guarantee future performance, and unavailable or legacy evidence must not be silently filled in.
What the product communicates
A released wagering card is tied to a specific selection and quoted price. SLAM Value ranks reviewed opportunities under the current product rules; it is not a literal win probability and does not make an outcome certain. When an audited settled receipt is available, the archive can preserve original terms and later corrections. A visible subset is not described as a complete record unless its coverage is explicitly verified.
Market evidence and uncertainty
Market-price observations can provide comparison context. Price movement does not reveal who placed a wager, how much they risked, or why the market changed, so Slam Wager labels behavioral interpretations as inferred rather than verified sharp money. Inputs can be missing, delayed, stale, or inconsistent. Release controls may withhold a card when required identity, price, safety, or stake evidence is unavailable.
Sport coverage
A route, matchup listing, simulation package, or historical result does not by itself prove that a sport is currently publishing reviewed picks. A public sport methodology remains unavailable until operational receipts and an owner review verify that exact sport.
